Help us give the
Music Advantage to children

We need volunteers or donations

Giving to children is a very rewarding experience.

The Lutheran Music Academy is non-profit and is supported almost entirely by volunteers and donations/grants from individuals and organizations giving the Music Advantage to children, especially children that could not otherwise afford it. We hope to make music education available to at least one hundred Galveston County area children in this our first semester – beginning in January

You can help us continue our programs by volunteering one or two hours a week or sending us a tax-deductible donation. All financial donations are welcome, no matter how small or large, and every little bit helps keep us going.

Donations of musical instruments are also very helpful to the School. We can use them at the school and/or lend them to music students unable to buy one. Please call or email us if you have an instrument to donate that is in good condition or needs only minor repair.

All donations are tax deductible and every dollar goes directly to the music program.

Volunteers who can give at least one or two hours a week usually in the afternoon would be great.
College students who volunteer can get very valuable practical teaching experience.

These are some of the most immediate needs:

	Teachers - music and art teachers with some experience or presently college students. Student Teachers would be fine.
	Teacher Aids – No experience required, just a willingness to learn and help with choir, instrumental, theory and art classes.
	Snack Preparation - Can be done at home on your own time, but have it at school by 2:45. Pick your day once a month or more.
	Instrument Repair - need repairs now on Orff instruments. Later minor repairs on guitars and violins or rhythm instruments. Major repairs will probably be sent to Houston.
	Volunteer Coordinator - Schedule all school volunteers to ensure all time slots have the right volunteer available.
	Administrative/office help.
	Fundraisers/Marketing Specialists.
